حرف اضافه (Preposition) کلمهای است که رابطه بین اسم یا ضمیر را با
کلمهای دیگر در جمله نشان میدهد.
این رابطه میتواند زمان، مکان، جهت، علت یا مالکیت باشد.

کاربرد:
In = داخل
On = روی سطح
At = نقطه مشخص مثال: The book is on the table.
Under / Above / Between
کاربرد: موقعیت نسبی اشیاء مثال: The cat is under the chair.
2. Prepositions of Time / حروف اضافه زمان
In / On / At
کاربرد:
In = ماه، سال، قرن
On = روز و تاریخ
At = ساعت دقیق مثال: I wake up at 6.
Before / After / During
مثال: We talked after the class.
3. Prepositions of Direction / حروف اضافه جهت
To / Into / Onto
کاربرد: نشان دادن حرکت مثال: He went into the room.
From / Through / Across
مثال: She walked across the street.
4. Prepositions of Cause & Purpose / علت و هدف
Because of / Due to
کاربرد: بیان علت مثال: The match was canceled because of rain.
For / With
کاربرد: هدف یا ابزار مثال: This gift is for you.
5. Prepositions of Possession / مالکیت
Of / Belong to
کاربرد: نشان دادن مالکیت مثال: The color of the car is red.
